In Between

Between

day and night
wrong and right,
life and plan
death and unplanned,
sleep and dream
fake and awake,
hide and seek
 hope and belief,
smile and lie
pain and time,
walk and reach
home and preach,
question and reason
answer and emotion

is a life called I.

The Walk

Forever
when I cant find myself
I take the path familiar
- the path unknown

In the daily dusk,
I walk into blind corner
-blinding for what I have known

With the stars gaze,
I  gaze beyond oceans shore
-deafening myself with the oceans roar

Under the lamp posts soft glow,
I hear people talk about daily chores
- I, I dream of my untold folklore

In broad day light,
I steal what is mine
- ignoring the day and time

The path unknown
like a distant memory
with time
becomes stranger to itself
and grows stronger
for you to keeping going back to it

till, till you find yourself

There are times in a lifetime
when you hope to find yourelf,
most times though
you want to walk down
the unknown path

Timeless Tale

A horizon more, to gaze beyond
A book less, to read & ponder around

A place more, to travel back home from
A moment too less, to run along

A note more, to hum along
A day less, to hear her secret smile

A sentence more, to write a lie
A thought less, for you to read my eyes

Time is what I would share
Only if you had a moment to spare

Manzil

First one in Hindi, dont think I will ever attempt to write another one in hindi.
I sincerely thank Vipul for taking his presious time to edit this.(Took him a whole of 3 weeks to remotely figure out what I had written, not his fault. In my defense I did warn him.)

ek din tha...
jab duniya samajhne kee pravah na thee
us din hume
apni koi pravah na thee

agle din...
duniya hume samjhane ko tayyar thee
per hum,
apne dil kee sunne ko betaab the

phir ek din..
duniya hum per cheekh rahi thee
aur hum us din
apni dhuun mai gaa rahe the

aaj...
na duniya hum se kuch kehti hai
na hum apni sunte hai

is waqt,
duniya jise takdeer kehti hai
hum
use anpa manzil samjahte hai

The Waiting Room

Abandoned cobwebs
shadowless walls,

Broken window
world far-below,
Curtains float
breeze, stone-cold,

Dripping silence
clock talking,

burning cigarette
rolling bottle,

kings fate
checkmate,

imperfect note
hanging coat,

Flowers Sulking
bangles dangling,

scattered memories
easy chair,

only hope
knock on the door

A Musical folk

Burnt fingers
sand white sand like,

water deserted arid land
locked lips,

sun beaten
winter pricked shattered skin by,

heart beat
supple waves in lifeless oceans far away,

grey hair
ash dust settled on coal field,

veins line
splits run on mountain wide,

pearled eyes
leaf holding morning dew,

a broken flute
the only clue,

blows true
the flute, like eye lash wish

What you hear
is a story untold
a life yet to unfold

Once

A careless dreamer I was
now I don't care to dream,

A nomad, once I was
follower is what I choose to be,

A drunk poet I was
the poem is now true to be,

A deaf singer to a tuneless heart
I, now, am a mute listener

Once I was
Once I am, now

dream I still do, but only of you
feet they wander only to you
the only poem true,
I listen to the tear drop tune(like the bow sailing over violin stings)

Once I am
forever I want it to be
